… oh, and one more thing. If you want to make a point, make sure you don’t sound like a moron when you do. For example: if Italy was awarded a penalty, then, well, there’s no way that this penalty “was never a penalty.” For future reference when making such ludicrous claims in the future, the language you want to use in reference to such circumstances is something akin to “was a questionable/erroneous decision by the referee”, or “was unwarranted/unmerited/undeserved.” 

… but of course, since you’re positioned to pass judgment on the outcome of the World Cup, you MUST be sufficiently knowledgeable in the basic terminology of football commentary to have known that already, right?
